A little bit about me...
My name is Leah Gayle Bourne, and my first administrative job was right out of high school. I worked to put myself through college doing transcriptions and providing bookkeeping services and administrative services - which I have done ever since for local attorneys, businessmen, students, philanthropists, and mom & pop shop owners. My company, Professional Transcription, began operating in Fayette County in 1993 as a sole proprietorship, and later grew to an LLC. In 2019 we changed the trade name to Bourne Bookkeeping & Administrative Services due to the greatly reduced demand for transcription services. We still do them, don't worry.

The exams required for bookkeeper certification include: general bookkeeping, taxes, & payroll. Continuing education is requred annually.
Gayle is a native of Alexandria, Virginia, right outside of DC. She moved to Lexington and attended college here (Go Big Blue!). She has an AAS in Architecture (with distinction) and a BA Magna Cum Laude in Philosophy, with two minors: one in linguistics and one in religious studies.
Gayle is also active as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations and for her congregation and encourages her staff to do the same. We support local business and restaurants with our shopping dollars. We are active in community groups that want to foster local organizations and businesses, helping to make the economic and governmental environment in the Central Kentucky area better for local entrepreneurs and public policy activists. Our interests include community resilience, relocalization, sustainability, urban design, urban gardening and food security, healthcare for all, living wages, and fair trade. We help to make the world a better place by helping your business or organization to reach your goals and dreams. We do that by providing services to you that meet your unique situation and needs, tailoring and customizing everything to work best for you. No one size fits all solutions here - let's think outside the box. Your organization or business is unique - tell us your challenges and we can find a way to overcome them.
